[Trippin']: Pareee Day 2

Day 2 of Pareee...

Started with a breakfast at Cafe le Royal, very nearby Galleries La fayette. Tried hard to waste time waiting for store to open as I need to find a new pair of shoes. my coach sneakers had decided to turn its life on me and I need a comfy shoe for the day.

Cafe le Royal serve normal kind of French breakie. Juices, coffee, croissants, pancakes and bread. One thing I noticed about cafe in Paris, all the chairs outside are lined facing the road. So if you feel like having a romantic breakfast session, looking at each other's eyes and passing some smitten smiles forget it dont sit outside

Seat inside, like us

But we were not trying to be romantic

We were just trying to avoid smokes from those smokers at the back

Haih....why do people still smoke it is beyond me

nette is ready for the day

the interior of the cafe

my yummy nutella pancakes

and her plain croissant. boohooo

her espresso.

DONE!.

Food here is a lil bit on the high side. You see, you can never convert EUR to RM everytime you want to order food because you'll feel extremely bengang to eat plain croissant for the price of RM15 mcm tu

My nutella cost me RM32

TENGSSS!!!

waiting patiently for H&M to open

feeling touristy with the pose

Shall update you with the full tour pic soon.

[Trippin']: Pareee Day 1

After 2 days at York, we headed to Paris via EuroStar train. tried to book JetStar however since we try to search for the cheap flight quite late, we had to settle with train instead

But Im glad we took the train. Its easier than having to go to the airport, wait for check in, luggage bla bla bla. Its only 2 hours ride anyway

At St Pancras International Train Station. Notice the Olympics logo?

2 hours later we arrived at Paris De Nord Grand Station.

Yeayyyyy

Im in Paris, she said

You know that you are in Paris when you see almost level building with no skyscrappers

Headed straight to the hotel. I booked Excelsior Opera hotel located very near to Galleries La Fayette. Not just shopping actually, I chose this because the walking distance to underground is just 3 mins walking. So its pretty safe

The room costs us EUR200 per night, circa RM800 per night. Haih what to do, you want shopping safety you gotta pay for it

The hotel and the room was pretty small. Like really small. Only one lift and it can only fit 5 people max
Or 4 me

Complimentary refreshment

view from the balcony

My roomate for the night

So small kan

Nearby area

The hotel is just 3 mins walking as well to Galleries La Fayette so if you plan to shop till you drop, I suggest you stay here.

Went to Galleries La Fayette to purchase things that people ordered. LV, Balenciaga (but SOLD OUT), LongChamp (also some SOLD OUT) and checked out some SF stuff

After 3 hours spent, we went back and had some rest and later we went out again for dinner

You see in Paris, finding a good halal food may be a little bit of a challenge. I dont really speak their language so it was difficult to explain my situation

So safer choice.

Italian Pizza!

You can always go for vegie option of seafood option

Nice!

Walked for 10mins and found this place

It was rather empty as it was still early...

The menu

My best friend

The restaurant's address

They serve almost all italian food but with some addition of French food as welll

Plain water for me and rose wine for nette

Complimentary bread and some funny looking oil

ahhhh, our salmon pizza

The pizza was delicious and seriously good. It cost us around EUR28 and in addition we ordered Escargot as well

I forgot how much was the escargot's

The expert trying to teach me how to eat Escargot.

Me trying

ahhhh made it

It was a lovely time, lovely dinner and we catched up with whats happening with our lives, work, husband, boyfie and all. I had fun during dinner and nette had it double. Blame the wine
Hahahahhaa

After dinner, we walked for a little bit and went back to the hotel. Gotta rest for full day tour the next day

Bali o Bali: Part 4

Okay, finally...
Part 4

Part 4 of Bali Trip that is...

For Day 4 activities, we've chosen I've chosen to do a little bit of cycling. Word has it that cycling is the cheapest best  way to explore Bali and get to know the local as well. The way I like it

But before that, lets have some breakfast shall we...

Breakfast was prepared by the Villa and it was customised according to your needs. Say you want some maggie goreng and you want it spicy with ni vegie. DONE! Thats because they only cooked-to-order. Its only 6 villas anyway so buffet may seems to be a lil bit lavish

Served with a glass of hot drink of your choice (bali coffee, american coffee or tea) and fruit juice

But this does not come along with the order...annoying face had to wake up early for the cycling trip. Hahahhahaa

For this trip, Ive registered booTak and meself with Jegeg Bali Cycling Tours. Found it when I was browsing Tripadvisor for some tips on what to do in Ubud and this happened to be the No 1 thing to do at that time. Googled around for some review and reserved ourselves a session.

For Rp 350,000 (+- RM120), the tour includes pick up and return to/fro your hotel, mountain bike and helmet, breakfast and lunch, cold towel, fruits and drinks along the trip Not so bad right?

We've been picked up by Nyoman, our tour guide together with his brother and we met Paul another cyclist from Australia. There's 5 of us including one chap and a lady from Singapore. Didnt know their names as they were not so friendly

Huhu

Our trip begin with a tour to Coffee Plantations. We got to know some of Balinese plantations as well as this...

Kopi Luwak or Civet's Coffee

This is an extremely expensive coffee where small cup (smaller than espresso cup) will cost you around Rp 50,000. Word has it that this is the best coffee in the world. It is made by coffee berries which have been eaten by Asian Palm civet then passed through its digestive tract. Ewww much?

The chivet

More info from Wikipedia

There were other types of coffee as well. These coffee were roasted by bare hands and processed manually to produce such aroma and make it a distinct features of Bali. So to speak

I think Ill end up doing it if I fail as a supervisor at office

coffee and beans

Workers preparing coffee samples for us

and yah we were cheapskate we did not try the civet coffee

after the plantation trip, we had a breakfast at Kintamani restaurant overlooking the volcano. food sucks to the max but since it is included I just bare with it

We started our cycling trip happily! enjoy the pictures

got cow summoreeeee....

sick of us much?

How about another one...

and one more

the weather was not really at our side as there were heavy showers 1 hour after we started. But me likeyyyy!

Yeayyy

I like it!

after 4 hours of cycling high and low and 4 hours of torture to my weak muscle, we headed to Nyoman's house for some lunch. Prepared by his sister in law. Home cook Indonesian meal. THE BEST!

His house

Paul was exhausted

ahh, buffett

another one

starving and happy. weird combo

May I just say the maggie goreng was the best maggie goreng Ive ever had in my life. Seriously...

The tour ended when Nyoman send us home and we snoreeeeeeeeddddd for about 3 hours after that

To be continued
