Okay,

So I am now in my 24 weeks of my pregnancy,

Everything is going well so far, alhamdulillah.

But just one thing,

Just one thing....

The gaining weight department

Hhahahaha

I know I know its normal to gain weight and it is rather abnormal if you dont

But my ass is getting bigger by day

Me no likey

So we resort to some light exercise

Walking during weekend,

Ive been doing some yoga and toning session

But still, all the weight I needed to gain went straight to me ass

Hahahahahha

"Im so fat, I cant even bend"

But I feel happy when I do some walking, feel very fresh

Cheewaaahhhhhh

booTak has been very attentive as well. He rubbed my back in the middle of the night, he made the bed, he make me breakfast in the morning (well not everyday la kan) and all sort of things that you want your husband to do when you are pregnant

Or in the easier way to say it, you just want them to spoil you la

Real emergency or self-created emergency?

Credit card. Is it a payment medium or credit facilities?

Often we heard excuses given by people who applied for 2nd or 3rd credit card, "I need it for emergency cases". But have we ever asked ourselves what is the real definition of emergency? Car broke down and requires big repair before salary comes in or Isetan member's sale where every stuff are having 50% discount?

I have a confession to make. I used to hold 4 credit card with pretty good credit limit and it brought me to a dark phase. You see, I am those person who cant hold my back once I see pretty good deals on the internet especially when it comes to travelling. There was a year where I travelled to 4 different countries in 8 month time and I was having a blast. Not so much when I received the statement.

At one time, my accumulated debt stood at RM25k, enough for the country to declare 'bankcrupt' on me should I fail to pay the required amount (i.e 5% of total outstanding per month) for 3 consecutive months. That was the time when my panic button was pushed, not by any other person but my self.

By having that kind of o/s at a time, you end up paying more than what you owe. By not being a transactor, you end up paying 1.85% interest of the outstanding per month making it a total of 6.85% of RM25k: RM1,712 per month. This wont just stop here. By being a revolver obviously you would utilise back your limit once you paid your monthly payment. At one point, I was relying on credit card for my fuel consumption and that was just sad.

You do the math. If you keep paying that much of money with no intention of puting a stop in your utilisation, you'll end up with that kind of payment for the rest of your life. Every month when I pay that amount for something that Ive purchased earlier pissed me off and I have no one else to blame, just myself.

So, I thought it is time for some serious ratification. I was blessed with a handsome amount of bonus on one particular year (i worked in .gov related organization so that kind of bonus was considered good eventhough its peanut for some MNC), so I paid off one by one my card each year. Also, I resulted to converting my cards towards personal loan with fixed amount of payment every month with no room for any more utilisation. I cut my cards into 2 and I feel proud.

It took me 2 years to basically clear off my debt. Of course, I suffered along the journey but now I feel lighter in the credit burden department. I felt like writing this because I feel like sharing the consequences of spending outside your capacity and reliance on the plastic will not do you any good.

I now pay my expenses using my debit card. Thank God for Maybank Visa Debit. The expenses is now directly debited to my account so there is no more excuses of swipe first worry later.

• Try out for something you weren't successful at the first time

New Phase

I am moving to a new phase now

'No smartphone' phase more like...

My phone was stolen last 2 week

and I take it as 'tiada rezeki'

So, no whatsapp, no FB Mobile, no Instagram, no Twitter for now

Until further notice

But on another related note,

To the New Phase note that is...

I am now in my second trimester as they call it,

21 weeks to be exact

We've been blessed with this beautiful gift entrusted to us by Allah S.W.T

Pregnancy has been beautiful so far,

No morning sickness, no weird cravings

Only 100 visits to the loo add up to the list and tonnes of crankiness symptoms for booTak to adapt to

But I am not complaining, as this is considered normal

I hope all of you can share some doa for our health and everything to be okay and smooth

Strawberry - Orange smoothies

Recipe:

9 whole strawberries (cut into half)

2 oranges (squeeze to get the juice)

1 fresh lime (squeeze to get the juice)

1 banana

Mix all of these ingredients and wallahhh

Ur detox smoothies is now ready

Dont add any sugar, the natural sugar in th fruits is already enough

Recently I have new pro-found obsession with cosmetics

NARS to be exact

I used to be those person who only had one lip gloss, one lipstick, one compact powder, one brush and one blusher. My MAC eyeshadow lasted for about 4 years and of course it reached its expiry date

Oh well,

Everything changed after my visit to NY

I fell in love with NARS

I once read about NARS while bloghopping

When I was in Sephora in Times Square I had the most exciting experience trying all the products

Benefit, NYX, Smashbox and NARS

and NARS caught my eyes

I once swear by MAC. All my limited make up stuff were from MAC

I dunt know why maybe it was peer pressure

Plus it look convincing and not so hurting in the wallet department

But NARS is different

I cant really explain why

But it totally is

The color last longer, powder remains intact

Eyeliner does not smudge

I am one happy customer

I personally like this blusher

"orgasm' they called it

But sad thing is there's no NARS retailer here in Malaysia

One Year

 22 October 2012 marked a significant moment in my life, booTak's life

We've been married for a YEAR!!!!

Gosh, feels like 10 years

I remembered the day we went out on one blind date set by our friend.

Never could I imagine that the blind date led to a beautiful marriage that we have now

Oh well, sometimes he is annoying I can tell you that

and sometimes I feel like punching him on his face hhahahahaha

But I cant imagine loving anyone else than him

Alhamdulillah, thats what people called love coupled with 'jodoh'

For our anniversary, nothing fancy extravanganza plan

Just a road trip for us

and we had fun

We were at Swiss Garden Damai Laut, Perak

I tell you one funny story

I once joined a treasure hunt organized by my office

and so happened his dad was the senior mgmt in my office (i didnt even know him that time)

and we were both at Swiss Garden Damai Laut that year, that month, that date attending the same treasure hunt dinner (errm, he didnt participate thou, he was just enjoying free food and free suites given to his dad)

and he saw me that night when I had to do the stupid catwalk for the best dress thing

AND HE LIKE ME ALREADY THAT TIME

Wooohooooo

Wow, jodoh really...

The trip to Damai Laut was good, we had fun, we laughed a lot, ate a lot, talked a lot and everything a lot

It was a fun 2 nights for us

Its been a wonderful Eid for us this year,

A designer with great heart: Jovian Mandagie

If you read my previous post talking about Jovian, you would agree that his RTW collection are to die for.

Like literally!

Often we see most designers would charge handsome amount of fee when it comes to their design whenever they are at the top of the rank

and sadly some being so selective and their clothing line does not cater for middle - income and low - income earner like us

Ones can only drool and dream about being in one of the pieces they have designed

But not this year

This year, we were rather lucky as most designers are feeling like giving back to the community and instead of charging bomb mullah, they produced an affordable range so to speak

20 by Rizalman, Cosry Purple Label and the one that created the most phenomenon is non other than Jovian Mandagie

When I first hear that the latter are coming out with RTW collection, I was sceptical. Let us be honest, who would have thought that average people can don the Jovian look on the first day of Eid without having to burn most of our savings just for a dress. So my initital thought, the line sure will be the simplest design possible with no attention to details and material

But boy I was wrong

Range of fabric used are mostly good ones (sorry, Im not Jakel I cant really describe the name of the fabric) but you know for sure that it is good quality

Unlike lycra (hurmmm)

Designs are mostly feminine with attention to details, (lace, beads and stuff).

Usually when someone buy a kurung or kebaya the only fear that they have in mind is having someone else wearing the same exact design at the same time

But I think no one could even bother about it now. None of us worried that someone else is wearing it. The most important part is, ITS JOVIAN

So, if youve heard that a boxing day sales will be held for his final batch of collection, yup you heard it right.

After breakfast and after shoe searching at H&M, we headed to the subway and take the metro to see the most famous Eiffel Tower. Theres 2 station that can lead to the tower but I cant remember which one that I alighted

Funny thing when we stepped out of the metro, we were chit chatting and laughing and gossiping with each other without knowing that Eiffel Tower is just around the corner.

After we took a left turn out from the station, its already there

So both of us went WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH like those jakun tourist

It feels so surreal finally I am at Paris, under the Eiffel Tower. Sounds cliche much? Whatever

Quite a walk from the station. Exhausted and thirsty

There were a lot of local selling cheap souvenirs but word has it that we have to be very careful if we wish to purchase from them. If police patrol happen to catch them at the time you are planning to buy, you are screwed because they will run away with you money and their stuff. No chance for you to get your balances and even your items

But those were pretty cheap I must say. for a moment, I was tempted

But nahh, isokay. Scared

After picture session and aww- session at the tower, we took the river cruise with BatoBus river cruise. It is a cruise that doubled bus. You can always alight and enter at any station so long you have your ticket with you. Cheap way to get around the city

Costs us EUR15 each. Not too bad.

i always love the building and architecture in Paris. It feels alive and have some history. eventhough there is no skyscrapper, but the city still has the element of development and legendary at the same time

Stopped at Musee d Orsay thinking I should visit one museum here. But looking at the line

If you wish to visit the museum you can always reserve the entrance slots in advance via internet. However it is limited and priority will be given to the elderly. I wonder whats inside the museum. Must be cool
