[Review]: Philea Resort & Spa, Melaka

Okay this is a long overdue entry, bear with me.

After we got married, the only vacation that we went was KK, Sabah; which I did not blog about it. Hhehehe. Gambar sikit maaa....

So I thought might as well I blog about the short vacation that we had mid Dec 2011 (i know, its been a month already...)

It was literally a short one where we head South to Johor to meet the one and only, JPO. Hehehe...that I shall blog about it in another post, or in my dream more like.

So as a pit stop, we turned left at Ayer Keroh exit and stayed at the famous Philea Resort & Spa. I read about it in Ratu Sehari magazine, famous for its surroundings and first ever log resort in Malaysia. Log? Erm imagine log cake for xmas, so you are pretty much there

Ouh ya, they used Ahmad Tea (or was it Dilmah tea)...hhehehe. No specific reason for mentioning, just that I love tea.

We stayed at the deluxe room where it costs us RM485++. Yah its a little bit on the high side but its worth it. If you are a nature addict, you will have a love hate relationship with this resort. You will love the nature that they are trying to mirror in their room decoration, structure and what not but you will hate the management for having to cut tonnes of trees to build the rooms. So, I chose to neutral bout it.

The surroundings are breathtaking as well. You could actually hear the sound of insects and feel wind blowing. cheewahhhhhh...

Good facilities provided by the resort such as Gym, Sauna Room, Spa, and many more. But the resort loss its exclusivity and luxury sense when it comes to breakfast buffet. Too many people cramping in one area and booTak have to q for omelette. Hurmmm...no nice.

All in all, it was a lovely stay and I dont mind coming here again *wink at hubby*

Just try, another time

Life is all about trying...
You try to be the perfect person, regardless perfect son, perfect daughter, perfect husband, perfect wife...
But you often fail to try to be a better you,
Just because you think by being perfect to the other eyes makes you a perfect person.

By being a perfect you means you are perfect according to you. I understand some of you might think that sounded a lil selfish but who are we to judge. You can be a perfect staff to your boss by following everything that your boss need, but inside you are dying and cant help it but feeling miserable and empty.

Hence the reason why I think perfect 'you' is imperative and top others.

Because at the end of the day, there is no point you bring smile to someone else but inside you are crying your heart out.

[Yummie]: Meatworks @ Citta Mall

When booTak asked me whether I want to go to Citta Mall, my reaction was...

Ive heard about Citta Mall but so far I have yet to hear anything interesting about it. So since booTak was persistent, heck okay lah lets go

Hurmmm...it was empty I tell you!

Only a few shops were in business and mostly restaurants (and its empty). They have chillis, Meatworks, chawan, La Pratesserie (i hope i got the name right) and a few other cafes with weird names.

So we chose Meatworks since we encountered 2 failed attempts earlier to dine in meatworks. Erm yah, the restaurant was also empty

The price ranging from Rm18 to the most expensive around RM98++. A few selections to choose from soups, salad, beef, lamb and chicken. Ouh ya, they serve organic stuff yo!. hehehehe....

So this is what we ordered....



booTak ordered 3 BBQ ribs with sides (mashed potatoes and organic grilled vegetables), he said the ribs were too sweet for his liking. Maybe its the BBQ talking...

I ordered this beauty, steak medium well with brown sauce.

Verdict? YUMMMMEHHHHH...it was cooked to perfection. The brown sauce really compliment the meat thou booTak likes it without sauce. He said it kill the taste of the meat

I think he was plan jealous because he didnt like his dish

Too bad...

Meatworks also has another restaurant chain in Mont Kiara, which is their first debut to malaysian food market shares. It is also jam packed with customers at night so if you want faster service and less people giving you death stare for hanging too long at your table, maybe you can go to Citta Mall instead
