I've been having a lot of orgasmic dream of having a Chanel bag to call my own. So I told myself, dream can only be true once you materialise it. However, this dream is not cheap. Generally we know how much Chanel cost but none would understand why it is worth it to have one

I recently read a blog post by purseblog.com on Top 10 reason why you need to own a Chanel Bag and I told myself, it does make sense. I did some imaginary calculation in my mind that I have been wasting too much money on other designer handbags that if I add up the number, I could easily own myself the Classip Flap.

I know people in their right mind would not agree with this calculation, because truth is that purchase of other designer bags should not happen in the first place. I have people surround me who always criticize me for every purchase that I made, I know its true what they say about bags are all the same but hey nothing is the same with Chanel.

Ever since I gave birth to Adam, I have yet to purchase anything big for myself. So I thought this could be the right time. My very own push gift to me

Baby Shower

Last weekend was rather hectic...

Went to Ante Natal class, post birthday lunch for booTak with familia,

Dinner and the list goes on

To top it, booTak had to work on Sunday, so after that we went to KLConvention Centre for the baby expo.

Weeeee, we managed to get a very good deal for 4-in-1 baby cot (with premium latex matress hokieee), playpen and also collection for Burt Bee's bath care for the baby

Earlier in the morning, booTak said he wanted to treat me for nice hi-tea so he said wear something cantik for that

Little that I know that he actually planned the whole thing up

You see, he is not the kind of person that is very good when it comes to keeping secret. So whenever he tried to plan something nice or surprise more like, he usually failed to keep it away from me

the deco department was handled by annette and he was in charge for financial related stuff

Eventhough most people cant make it at a very last minute, overall I had fun

Strawberry - Orange smoothies

Recipe:

9 whole strawberries (cut into half)

2 oranges (squeeze to get the juice)

1 fresh lime (squeeze to get the juice)

1 banana

Mix all of these ingredients and wallahhh

Ur detox smoothies is now ready

Dont add any sugar, the natural sugar in th fruits is already enough

Recently I have new pro-found obsession with cosmetics

NARS to be exact

I used to be those person who only had one lip gloss, one lipstick, one compact powder, one brush and one blusher. My MAC eyeshadow lasted for about 4 years and of course it reached its expiry date

Oh well,

Everything changed after my visit to NY

I fell in love with NARS

I once read about NARS while bloghopping

When I was in Sephora in Times Square I had the most exciting experience trying all the products

Benefit, NYX, Smashbox and NARS

and NARS caught my eyes

I once swear by MAC. All my limited make up stuff were from MAC

I dunt know why maybe it was peer pressure

Plus it look convincing and not so hurting in the wallet department

But NARS is different

I cant really explain why

But it totally is

The color last longer, powder remains intact

Eyeliner does not smudge

I am one happy customer

I personally like this blusher

Its been a wonderful Eid for us this year,

Hectic one due to much travelling

Food feast were overwhelming too. Luckily it lasted only during the first week of raya. But cant say the same for next week since tonnes of open houses invites received already

I succumbed over the feelings of having light hair and lesser time to shampoo every single day

A designer with great heart: Jovian Mandagie

If you read my previous post talking about Jovian, you would agree that his RTW collection are to die for.

Like literally!

Often we see most designers would charge handsome amount of fee when it comes to their design whenever they are at the top of the rank

and sadly some being so selective and their clothing line does not cater for middle - income and low - income earner like us

Ones can only drool and dream about being in one of the pieces they have designed

But not this year

This year, we were rather lucky as most designers are feeling like giving back to the community and instead of charging bomb mullah, they produced an affordable range so to speak

20 by Rizalman, Cosry Purple Label and the one that created the most phenomenon is non other than Jovian Mandagie

When I first hear that the latter are coming out with RTW collection, I was sceptical. Let us be honest, who would have thought that average people can don the Jovian look on the first day of Eid without having to burn most of our savings just for a dress. So my initital thought, the line sure will be the simplest design possible with no attention to details and material

But boy I was wrong

Range of fabric used are mostly good ones (sorry, Im not Jakel I cant really describe the name of the fabric) but you know for sure that it is good quality

Unlike lycra (hurmmm)

Designs are mostly feminine with attention to details, (lace, beads and stuff).

Usually when someone buy a kurung or kebaya the only fear that they have in mind is having someone else wearing the same exact design at the same time

But I think no one could even bother about it now. None of us worried that someone else is wearing it. The most important part is, ITS JOVIAN

So, if youve heard that a boxing day sales will be held for his final batch of collection, yup you heard it right.

Okay, now I shall squeeze some time for NY update. I know itssss so not up to date, bear with me...

On sunday I made plan with Kiu to go to MET, The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Word has it that this is the best museum to go for those who loves art and history. But if you love 'Night at The Museum 'Movie, dont go for this one. Go for National History Museum of New York.

Okay, so I refused to take the bus to go the MET. Instead I walked because I am a cheapskate NYC taxi is damn expensive, I thought of burning some calories. So I walked 16 blocks to the museum. 16 blocks I repeat. It took me good 26 minutes thou Google map said it should be about 20 minutes walking. shiiisshhhh. I think if I stay in NY for 3 more weeks Ill come back with skinny ass and sexy legs to pair it with...*sigh*

Okay, met Kiu and then we went to the entrace to pay the fee. The system here is rather weird. There is no fixed entrance fee to be imposed, visitors pay how much they feel they want to. some suggested $25 for entrance where you will be given the audio narrator that can pretty much be your tour guide for the day but hurmmm no need la for me. I can read whattt...

So, lets see some picture shall we...

Expect good crowd on weekend as the place can be pretty full especially in the afternoon. Plus weather was perfect that day so I guess they made their way to the Met from Central Park in the morning.

Theres so many sections in the museum and I am no good in being the tourist guide. I managed to go to several section including their exhibition for the week (Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations @ Met)  focuses about their views and fashion. It was interesting but unfortunately no picture taking allowed in that specific hall

I missed their performance back in 2006 (or was it 2005). Could not make it that time and I was very very disappointed. When I read about it, excitedly ask booTak about it only to receive this from him...

Not just milk tea, they have more than 50 flavours to choose from, everything is under the sun including tea that you cant even pronounce like "Komquat Lemon what not", and "Chrysanthemum Pu-Erh (eerrrr) Tea" and many more....

Cafe Barbera, Bangsar

Received BBM from Miza, miza: "babe, jom makan chocolate fondant kat cafe barbera" me: "heh, is it something like chocolate souffle in Junior Masterchef?" miza: "erm, so called la. but this choc fondant is really gooood. Jom la" me: "hurm, okie will see you there in half an hour" Hokay, I have read some post on Chocolate Fondant at Cafe Barbera earlier. But never have the privillege to pay a visit. First, because Im not really a chocolate sucker in any sense, and second of all I rarely dine out nowadays. Reason? Simple, DIET maaaa.....hehhehee. so the best way of dieting is to dine in and cook simple food that contains less carbs. pfffttttt... So, almost 45 mins later (yah I was procrastinating because I know how late I will be, they will be at least 15 minutes later. huh), I was at Jalan Telawi Bangsar trying to withdraw money from 3 different ATM with MEPS label on it but failed. Damn you MEPS. Technologies nowadays always failed me whenever I need them the most. Actually I dont really know this Cafe Barbera, never been so I have no idea where it is actually. So I thought, Bangsar...hrrmmmm sure at Telawi kan? NOPE!!!!!! I bbm-ed the girls asking their whereabouts only to find out that I was actually at the wrong road. Hahahaa. The cafe is located at Jalan Maarof la, not Jalan Telawi. Sighhhh So off I went to Jalan Maarof, its located nearby Cafe Rebung anyway, for a better landmark. Went in and saw the girls and they laughed at me for my stupidity. Double sigh. As it was already 9pm that time, I rushed them to make up their mind on what to order. Enough changing of menu constantly already! Miza ordered Some Shakerato (RM10), combination of coffee and shakes I think. Must be full of fat too. Dang! But she said it taste goooodddaahh. pfftttt....mind me, im not a coffee drinker and will never be one. I ordered a pot of Earl Grey Tea (RM8) and Ina ordered Apple Juice (RM10). I think both are just ordinary drinks lah. So lets go the real thing, the foooooddddd... Ina had this Creamy Mushroom Bruschetta (RM13). Yummehhh, tasted good and even though theres only 4 slice of bread but we didnt really care. We still curi her food. I had Grilled Chicken Ciabbata Sandwich (RM18). Gooooood, the bread was so crispy, I guess they toast it the right way and the vegie was fresh too...I wanted to try their pizza that day but as I was still in the coma-diet zone, I said big no-no to the cheeeesseeeeyyyyy pizza that they have Must come back one day when Im already in size '0'... (as if) Miza had the Aglio Olio Prawn (RM28) and it was yummmeehhh. They managed to customize it to the Asian taste where they put in slices of cili padi. It has a perfect blend of italian herbs and malaysian taste in it. Highly recommended! So, now we reach the real reason why we are here. The chocolate fondant!

Hurmmmm.....the chocolate fondant (RM12) was rather disappointing I must say. It wasnt as gooey as I expected it. So, we were contemplating should we return it back and request for it to be prepared the way it is supposed to be or just suck it in and enjoy then almost dry fondant U think? Of course we act brave-brave and we requested a nicer one. I was using my '90 seconds' theory of how chocolate souffle should be served right after it is taken out from the oven (thank you to Masterchef US and Junior Mastercher, I know speak some chef language). I even use the Gordon Ramsay theory on how gooey it should be and the waiter is giving me some pffftt look. Hhahahhahaha So they rejected the fondant and made a new one. Still dissapointing as when we cracked the fondant, there were still some batter left uncooked. So, I guess thats the sign from the universe, some karma that I shouldnt eat those kind of fattening food at the first place, now the fondant was like telling me "eat that, sucker" All in all, it was a lovely dinner. I love the ambience and the nice waiter (not the one who gave me the 'wtf, u think u top chef issit).
